CYTA’s Spring Day workshop-
Compassion & Mindful Self Compassion-
‘How to love & cherish the vibrant person you are’
with tutor- SARAH LION HEART

on Saturday March 17th 2018
at Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Trinity Gardens, Bramhall Lane,
Woodsmoor, Stockport SK3 8TP
10am- 3pm You will be guided through some yoga postures & heart asanas, meditations & sitting/ lying exercises, and it will feel like real time out for yourself. Some necessary cognitive information will be taught, to help make a firm foundation for self compassion practice and will include understanding what self compassion is and the common misconceptions.
Please bring a notebook & pen. (A useful book to read is ‘Mindful Self Compassion’ by Kristen Neff.)
12-1pm Lunch break – cakes & drinks will be available for purchase
The seminar will be followed by the AGM for CYTA members 3.15 to 4.15pm
COST – for CYTA members
FULL DAY £17 on the day (pre-booked £15) HALF DAY£ 8.50 on the door (pre-booked £7.50)
COST- for non members
FULL DAY £20 on the day (pre-booked £17) HALF DAY £10 on the day (pre-booked £8.50)
BRING – non slip mat for posture work (or carpet/rug), small blanket or wrap for relaxation, and lunch
Parking– free parking available at the venue (please do not park on the grass)
Car sharing- Contact Sue or any of the Committee if you wish to share either as a driver or passenger
There are currently two opportunities to become involved as a member of the CYTA Committee and thus practise your karma yoga.
Take your pick of the varied roles below. None of them are onerous and all are enjoyable.
- Associate Members’ Representative. Liaise with Associate members to find out and reflect their views in the organisation
- Catering Officer . During seminar lunch breaks make drinks and plate up cakes (provided by Committee members) Wash up and tidy up kitchen. Top up and store supplies for drinks as required. You will be given assistance in the kitchen.
